Hi Everyone!

Wow! Where do I begin??? Our weekend at Rayne is over! It was a huge success! If you attended, thanks so much for being the best croppers ever! Everyone was just so nice and all the nice comments posted on our facebook and told to me personally was just overwhelming! My whole staff put everything into this event, and I couldn't of ever done it without them! A very special thanks to Paula, Connie, Wendy, Phelicia, Melissa, Mandy, Tony, Beatriz, Phyllis and Melanie!! And...can't forget my beautiful kids! They worked really hard too! Also, we had people come by and just help....so sweet...!!! When I get a chance, I am going to make a slide show and post it on my blog. If you didn't come, there is always next year! We have set the dates for July 19th - 22nd 2012 at the Rayne Civic Center. We will start taking sign ups in January!

**also, a special note. Franny Bobbit has been to every event and this year she had to miss the event because her husband was in the hospital with blood clots in his lungs. He's doing much better...and we missed you Franny!

August Classes and Workshops

The class Calendar is out and we've got some awesome classes and workshops available this month along with a grand opening for our shopping center! You can sign up for classes now on our website. Take at look at all our exciting things!

Connie's Creative Retreat Weekend
August 13th & 14th
Cost: $100
Saturday 10 am - midnight
Sunday 10 am - 3 pm

What do you do when you have a technique that is awesome but takes more than a class time to do? You create a "retreat weekend". So far we've had a wonderful response to this class and the Disney one in October, and will be having more "retreat weekends filled with classes! I want it to be a new "Treasured Memories" staple!

This is Connie's first workshop geared to teach you all new techniques never before taught at the store before! This class is really amazing. I've had so much fun learning the techniques and creating the canvas class. You really need to see the canvas in person. It is breath taking!

The retreat actually has 3 classes. The first one is teaching a 2 page layout. The layout is amazing! It's a combination of art layered together that creates a masterpiece! I know not every layout can be this extravagant, but I'm sure you have some very special pictures that you've been wanting to do something special with. The class is very artsy. You will learn how to use paper, different paints, India inks and different mixed media to create a 2 page layout of art!

The second class is an embellishment class. We will teach you how to create the most amazing embellishments of of rock, paper and wire! You will learn how to make your own Prima bling! You will be using and trying so many different products! All the embellishments come together to be added to our layouts and canvas! It's so much fun!

The 3rd class will be an 11 x 14 Canvas Class. From gel mediums, India inks, mica, pearl pens, metal, modeling paste, fabric pens, sepia pens, and lots of secret stuff, that creates this stunning canvas!

Tentatively this is what is planned:
We will start classes at 10:30 am on Saturday. There will be an embellishment and 2 page layout class on Saturday. You will begin the Canvas Class and let dry overnight. Classes for Saturday will end around 7 pm. You can stay and crop till midnight. Classes will begin again at 10:00 am Sunday. After leaving the workshop, you will leave with a 2 page layout and an 11 x 14 canvas filled with mixed media and metalwork. We hope to end this class around 3 pm Sunday. Melissa will join us on Saturday and Wendy will join us on Sunday! The whole weekend will be an awesome experience!

We have just a few spots open, don't hesitate to sign up if you want to get in.

August Calendar Class - My Family

August 27 (Saturday), 28th (Sunday) & 30th (Tuesday)

Wendy has created a layout with the new line of papers created by the talented Margie Romney-Aslett, called "Authentique". If you looking for techniques, this class is loaded with them. First of all, she is going to teach you the 3 "T's" of flower making. You will learn how to make Tissue Flowers, Twine Flowers and Tulle Flowers! Then, if you have been wondering how the "Sew Easy" works, you will actually get to have hands on using the "Sew Easy" tool! If you prefer not to sew, she will show you a different option. You will also be using the new pearl pens from Viva Decor, our new favorite product! You will have a choice of your own title and it will be cut with the "Billionaire" Cricut cartridge!

Metal Art Frame Class

This was a kids camp and we had all kinds of adults wanting to take it! Sooooo, we designed this class for them. This class combines A little bit of Scrapbooking and a little bit of art! Wendy is going to teach you child how to create a beautiful frame (easle on back) with the latest and greatest techniques! You will be playing with metal, metal tools, paint, Viva Decor pens and chipboard! You will get to pick out your own papers and name/title, so I Can't wait to see all the creations!

September 15th - 17th - We are a vendor at this awesome event! The best of the best stores from Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi are at this event! Our store represents the Lafayette area! Westmark Shopping Center Grand Opening!

August 20th - 10 am - 3 pm

Our little area is growing! Our shopping center is just so cool! Our Landlord, LJ Trahan got together with us and helped us promote our shopping center and the shopping center he is building across the street! We contacted KXKC, 99.1, and they have been working with us to make this a really cool event! Come join us for music, food, fun and prize give aways! There will be a band, free jambalaya and prize give-aways every hour! Martin's Jewelers is giving away a $700 diamond and gift certificates. Us, Pampered Paws, Bravo's Therapy and Salon Des Amis will also be giving away gift certificates and the radio station 99.1 (KXKC) will be giving away Keith Urban Tickets! KXKC will be talking about us and the event on the radio starting August 8th!

We are also adding a special little treat! If you didn't get a chance to come to crop night last Friday, we will be doing the really cute 1 page make and take with the first 50 customers that day! The layout celebrates school starting! The make and take is free! I hope to see you, or your friends! Spread the word!!!

Paula's Crop at the Lodge

Sept. 1st - 4th

Cost: $60

If you want to get together for some really relaxing cropping, Paula has her "No Frill's" crop at the Lodge at the beginning of September. The Lodge is in Scott, about 10 minutes from the store! It's always a nice get away, and we run specials at the store for those who attend! It's a 3 1/2 day get away for a great price! If you need more information, please call Paula at 337-207-5027.

New Products:

We have so many new products coming in! I don't like to reveal too many things until we get them in, because some things might not even ship until September...but there are so many new things out there...lots of new papers, embellishments, tools and great new accenting products! I ordered a really good mixture! Can't wait to share them all with you and even use these new things in our classes!

Coming this week:

We got new "Smash" products in today! These books are so awesome for teens! It is a great way for them to scrapbook all their personal items without taking too much time!!! We sold all of our first shipment during our kids camps...so they make great teen idea gifts. It's a really cool concept! Wendy also wants to do a Kids camp with this next year!!! These books will go pretty fast...we also got x-tra smash sticks in stock too!

We just received Vinyl for your Cricut Machines! 12" x 24" sheets, for a great price of $2.99 each! I ordered a variety of cool colors!
